Special Message
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ !
Living happily and content in this fast moving world is not quite easy but when
we become the sheep of the good shepherd Jesus, He is there to lead us in all our
ways.
Just as the green pastures give life and strength to the sheep so does His Word
give life and strength to a man who trusts in it.
We live in a world of sin and sorrows. And inorder to help us lead a holy life ,
God pulls us close to Him with the staff in His hand and at times warns us with
the rod. So God’s word not only comforts us but it also warns us.
We read in Lamentations 3:38, Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil
and good? So we should not forget that the warnings that comes from the mouth of
the Lord is for our well being . It is like the warning that comes from a loving
father who does not want his children to go astray.
God wants us to lead a holy life that would keep us near to Him. The Bible says,
therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
But we find it impossible as we are surrounded by evil in this world. Then how can
we find a way to leave the ungodly thoughts and sins and become a new creature ?
To become a new creation, we need to do three things.
First, we need to abide in the word of the Lord . We read the bible daily but only
a few of us claim the words as a blessing for us. The Psalmist says, that a man
who meditates on the word of God, day and night is blessed. So we should mediate
on the word of God day and night just like we breathe all throughout the day and
night. Only then we can keep the evil ways and sinful thoughts away from us. The
Word of God should be like our breath and that will help us in becoming a new creation.
Secondly, we should be filled with the Holy Spirit. The worldly desires and problems
make us weary and we forget God as we get to indulge in the worldly ways. The Bible
says that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment. So in order to keep our thoughts filled with the
Lord’s words, and to keep the evil at bay, we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Finally, we shouldn’t have fellowship with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6 :14 says,
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”. This doesn’t
mean that we should hate unbelievers. But this friendship and fellowship will mostly
lead us away from the Lord and we will become prey to their worldly love. How much
ever friendly we may be with unbelievers but we need to keep away from their evil
ways and deeds.
Forget not the matchless Love of our Lord Jesus at all times, and that thought is
enough to keep you away from any sin and worldly fellowship. You will become a new
creation.
